George Alex STELEA, CV

About

I am an ICT professional with a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies, a Master's degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management. This interdisciplinary background equips me with a solid foundation to focus on emerging technologies and digital solutions to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.

My work focuses on digital transformation, where I specialize in web technologies, content management systems (CMS), accessible interfaces, user experience and the optimization of digital content within inclusive digital infrastructures. I have extensive experience in creating responsive, multi-device designs, optimizing websites for search engines, and ensuring that digital content is accessible and user-friendly.

At the European Commission, I led projects that involved managing and improving multimedia publications, conducting quality control, and using analytics to enhance web performance. My ability to communicate effectively and manage projects has been key to delivering high-quality digital solutions that meet accessibility standards and provide a seamless user experience. I am also skilled in graphic and digital design using Adobe tools, which has enabled me to create engaging and visually appealing content.

My academic contributions include co-authoring three books and seventeen scientific papers, which have collectively garnered over 200 citations. I am especially interested in advancing research on how technologies such as AI and IoT can be leveraged for social good, improving transparency, security, and efficiency across sectors. Fluent in English, Italian, and Romanian, with conversational skills in German and French, I bring a multilingual and multicultural approach to my work.
